My Process

Most people so far have found me by personal recommendation or word of mouth. My projects come from folks who reach out because they simply can’t find someone else who see’s or can build their vision. While every project and clients needs tend to be specific and while each clients process represents their unique needs. My services do tend to fall into 3 distinct categories. Design, build, and maintain. No matter at what point you are finding me or what stage your dream is already in. I am happy to consult and develop a plan to serve your needs.

Design it.

The most important part of any project. Design incorporates phase planning, budgeting, time management and most importantly pulling that unique vision you have from the ether. This phase often includes sketching, creating spreadsheets, evaluating cost and carefully listening to your desires. It usually ends with a clear plan for action and a concept direction we both have confidence in.

Build it.

With a clear direction, budget, and timeline. Material sourcing and fabrication begin. One of the most exciting phases for me. This is truly when your idea starts to become a part of reality. This phase includes brief communications about unforeseen design choices or last minute changes. As its impossible to completely properly estimate the time required to make unique products, this phase also includes communications about timeline and budget. This phase usually ends with a physical deliverable.

Maintain it.

As we all know. Things fall apart. Often delivery day is the nicest condition that many of the products I build will see for many years. As we use things, as they live in the elements, as life happens. Things fall apart. I provide every client with a clear plan for care and maintenance of their unique item. Some items take very little effort. Some take more. Trust that should you ever need my services to care and maintain for what I have made for you or what you already have. I am happy to be of service. This phase usually takes the form of a annual service visit or a repair visit after unforeseen damage.
